Hinemlo' Familia
About
Hinemlo’ Familia is a community-rooted initiative under The Family Wellness Organization that aims to cultivate a healthier and more resilient CNMI. “Hinemlo” is the Chamorro word for wellness, encompassing healing, harmony, and connection. Our work is built on ancestral wisdom and culturally grounded practices that promote health through gardening, physical activity, family engagement, and food sovereignty.
We address rising youth obesity rates, poor nutrition, and physical inactivity in the CNMI through school-based programs and community-driven initiatives. Our vision is to foster holistic wellness by blending cultural heritage with proactive health strategies — nurturing both body and spirit, one family at a time.
